You Don’t Have to Stay Stuck in Anxiety, OCD, and Intrusive Thoughts
If your mind won’t shut off… If you feel trapped in endless “what if” thoughts… If intrusive thoughts, anxiety, doubt, or fear have taken over your day, you are not alone.
Living with OCD and anxiety can feel exhausting. You may constantly replay conversations, seek reassurance, mentally check, overanalyze, avoid situations, or feel consumed by intrusive thoughts and uncertainty.
I’m Jessica Bedziner, PsyD, an OCD and anxiety specialist helping children, teens, and adults break free from intrusive thoughts, compulsions, avoidance, and fear so they can feel more present, grounded, and in control of their lives.
Why I Do This Work
I understand how overwhelming intrusive thoughts, anxiety, doubt, urges, and “what if” thinking can feel. I know what it’s like to experience the pull toward reassurance, avoidance, repeating behaviors, mental checking, overanalyzing, or trying to gain certainty when anxiety feels unbearable.
What helped me, and what I now help my clients learn, was understanding that recovery is not about getting rid of thoughts. It is about changing your relationship with them.
Through gradually facing fears, learning to tolerate uncertainty, and responding differently to intrusive thoughts and anxiety, it becomes possible to break free from the OCD and anxiety cycle. Instead of constantly reacting to fear, you can learn how to acknowledge thoughts without giving them power.
Many of the people I work with once felt consumed by obsessive thoughts, panic, compulsions, urges, avoidance, shame, reassurance-seeking, repetitive behaviors, and constant doubt. They felt trapped in cycles of fear and stuck in their minds. Today, they are learning how to face uncertainty, resist compulsive urges, respond rather than react to fear, and regain a sense of control and confidence in their lives.
I have helped children, teens, and adults struggling with OCD, anxiety disorders, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), intrusive thoughts, panic, phobias, and related conditions develop lasting tools for recovery and meaningful change.

Specialized Training in OCD and Anxiety Treatment
I am a psychologist (PsyD) specializing in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), and related conditions. I earned my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from Hofstra University.
I completed 4.5 years of intensive clinical training at a renowned intensive outpatient program (IOP) specializing in OCD, BDD, Anxiety, and Related disorders for individuals of all ages. During this time, I trained under leaders in the field and worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with intrusive thoughts, compulsions, panic, repetitive behaviors, severe anxiety, and avoidance.
My clinical experience includes working with a wide range of OCD presentations and anxiety-related conditions in both intensive and outpatient settings.
I am passionate about helping individuals move beyond fear and reconnect with the parts of life that OCD and anxiety may have taken away.
Healing Is Possible
You do not have to keep living trapped by anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, compulsions, or fear.
Recovery is not about never feeling anxious again, it is about learning that anxiety, uncertainty, intrusive thoughts, and urges no longer have to control your choices, your relationships, or your life.
Healing is possible, and you do not have to go through it alone.
Professional Recognition & Community Education
I am passionate about increasing awareness and education around OCD, anxiety disorders, perfectionism, and related conditions.
I was named one of the top psychologists on Long Island by the Long Island Press and have provided educational presentations on OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, intrusive thoughts, and evidence-based treatment.
I also presented a workshop for the New York State Bar Association focused on OCD, anxiety, and perfectionism, helping professionals better understand compulsions, avoidance, uncertainty, and treatment approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
